The Centenary Celebrations of Ramakrishna Math, Ooty was celebrated on a Grand manner on the 25th, 26th and 27th of February 2026.

Arrival of Most Revered President Maharaj to Ooty

Most Revered President of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission Srimat Swami Gautamanndaji Maharaj visited Ooty Ramakrishna Math for the Centenary Celebrations Inauguration function on the 25th of February 2026 from Coimbatore by Road. Most Revered President Maharaj was provided with a grand red carpet welcome, with Students of Vivekananda Memorial Matriculation welcoming with Band and showering flowers.

Most Revered President Maharaj, inaugurated the Newly built Centenary arch by cutting a ribbon. There were about 100 devotees who participated in the welcome function. Most Revered President Maharaj, visited the temple and after performing Arati blessed one and all present. Everyone present was provided with a sumptuous meal.

In the evening of 25th February 2026 Most Revered President Maharaj, participated in the Inaugural function at the Ramakrishna Math, Ooty Auditorium. The function started with Bhajan’s by Athigaratti Ayyappan Group, continued by Bharathanatiyam programme by J Sai Dikshini group of Rithu Kala Art Studio. Most Revered President Maharaj, inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp and gave a benediction address after the welcome address by Swami Raghaveshanandaji Maharaj. After Arati, Most revered President Maharaj blessed every one and the day concluded with Sumptious meal provided to the 200 odd devotees and Sadhus.

Thursday the 26th February 2026

Unveiling of Swami Vivekananda’s Statue at Vivekananda Memorial Matriculation School, M Palada.

 On 26 February 2026 Morning at 9.30 AM Most Revered President Maharaj started from Ooty Ramakrishna Math and proceeded to Vivekanada Memorial Matriculation school at M Palada. As Most Revered President Maharaj entered the school, Maharaj was received by the School Band and Children Showering flowers. Most Revered President Maharaj, then Unveiled the Statue of Swami Vivekananda as the Ved Parayana was done by the Sadhus. Aarati was conducted and Then Most Revered President Maharaj gave the benedictory address. After the function Most Revered President Maharaj left for Meeckery Village.

Opening of Ramakrishna Math, Ooty Centenary Hall at Meeckery.

 On 26 February 2026, Most Revered President Maharaj, reached Meeckery Village at 11.00 AM and was given a Grand welcome in the Village tradition. Most Revered President Maharaj opened the first of the “Ramakrishna Math, Ooty Centenary Hall” and conducted Arati. As Most Revered President Maharaj reached the stage Bhajan’s by Swami Harivratananda concluded and Introductory address was done by Sri R Jogi Gowder and Sri M K Ravikumar. The Welcome address was addressed by Swami Raghaveshanadaji Maharaj, president of Ooty Ramakrishna Math continued by the Benedictory Address by Most Revered President Maharaj. The Benedictory Address was followed by talk by Swami Shantatmanandaji Maharaj, Secretory Ramakrishna Mission, Gurugram. Sri Arul talked about the association between Meeckery Village and Ramakrishna Math, Ooty. The Students of Vivekananda Memorial Matriculation conducted Drama on Maharpurush Maharaj and How the Ooty Math came into existence. After a sumptuous Lunch Prasad and Bhajan’s by Villagers the programme came to a conclusion.

At 05.00 PM Harikatha was conducted and around 150 devotees participated. After Arati Most revered President Maharaj blessed every one and the day concluded with Sumptious meal provided to one and all.

Friday the 27th February 2026

On Friday the 27th Morning Most Revered President Maharaj gave Mantra Deeksha to 59 Deeksharthis.

In the Auditorium, at around 9.00 AM Opening song was sung Swami Matrusevananda, Thiruvannamalai followed by Swami Muktidanandaji Maharaj address on Message of Sri Ramakrishna to the devotees, continued by Bhajan’s by Swami Harivratananda, Sri Ramakrishna Mission, Vidyalaya, Coimbatore, continued by Bhajan’s by Swami Matrusevanandar.

In the evening at 04.30 PM, programme by Students of Vivekananda Memorial Matriculation School, M Palada was conducted followed by Welcome Address by Swami Raghaveshananda, Adhyaksha , Ramakrishna Math Ooty. Ms Justice R Poormima, gave the chief guest address. Most Revered President Maharaj released the Centenary Book “CENTENNIAL ECHOES: A CHRONICLE OF OOTY MATH’s TIMELESS JOURNEY” and gave the Benedictory Address. Vote of thanks was addressed by Swami Satyayuktananda and the Centenary Celebration inauguration programme came to a conclusion. On Saturday 28th February 2026, Most Revered President Maharaj left to Coimbatore by Road.
