On 26th December 2024, the Jayanthi celebrations of Swami Shivanandaji Maharaj, a direct disciple of Sri Ramakrishna and the founder of Ramakrishna Math, Ooty was celebrated at the Ramakrishna Math premises with Pooja, Bajans, Discourse, Homa and Arati.


 The day started as usual with the Mangalaarati and Vedic chanting at 6.00 AM. Swami Shivanandaji Maharaj Jayanthi celebrations started with a special pooja at 8.00 AM.


 At 10.00 AM, Bhajans sung by Ramakrishna Bhajanai Sabha, Nunthala, followed by Homa at 11.45 am conducted by Swami Satyayuktananda Maharaj and followed by a small discourse on Swami Shivanandaji Maharaja and the history of the Ooty Math. 


Arati was conducted at 1.30 PM and inally the programme ended with the devotees given Sumptuous Prasad. Around 120 devotees participated in the function.

        On 19th December 2022, the Jayanthi celebrations of Swami Shivanandaji Maharaj, a direct disciple of Sri Ramakrishna and the founder of Ramakrishna Math, Ooty was celebrated at the Ramakrishna Math premises with Pooja, Bajans, Discourse, Homa and Arati.

The day started as usual with the Mangalaarati and Vedic chanting at 6.00 AM. Swami Shivanandaji Maharaj Jayanthi celebrations started with a special pooja at 8.00 AM.

At 9.30 AM, Bhajans sung by local devotees and Adikaratty Ayyappan Bhajanai kulu, followed by Ramakrishna Archanai led by Srimat Swami Raghaveshanandaji Maharaj and continued with Homa at 11.45 am conducted by Swami Parahitananda Maharaj and followed by a small discourse on Swami Shivanandaji Maharaj and the history of the Ooty Math.

Arati was conducted at 1.30 PM and Xinally the programme ended with the devotees given Sumptuous Prasad. Around 120 devotees participated in the function.
