Sri Ramakrishna birthday’s public celebration was held on Sunday the 27th of March 2022. Totally about 1000 people participated in the day long celebration.
The day started with Puja and Bhajans. The Bhajans were conducted by Ayyappa and group of Adhigaratty for one hour. Swami Bhaktikamananda of Ramakrishna Math Coimbatore along with a group of students conducted Bhajans for 30 minutes.
Swami Harivratananda of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya Coimbatore conducted a special Harikatha on a saint of Tamilnadu for about one hour. He also sang some songs and gave a speech on the teachings of Sri Ramakrishna.
Next excellent cultural programs were conducted by the students of Vivekananda Memorial school, M palada for about two hours. In addition to dance programmes, the students enacted two excellent dramas with the topics selected from Mahabharata and the Life of Swami Vivekananda. It was highly appreciated by the audiences.
Lunch was served to all the devotees.
Monthly pecuniary help of Rs 200 per person for about 100 poor and destitute people was distributed. Lunch was provided to them also.
On the whole the Celebration was a grand success.
