At the Ooty Ramakrishna Math premises Sri Ramakrishna’s Birthday was celebrated. The program consisted of Pooja, Bajans, Discourse, Homa and Arati.
The day started as usual with the Mangalaarati and Vedic chanting at 6.00 AM. Swami Vivekananda Jayanthi celebrations started with a special pooja at 8.00 AM.
At 9.30 AM, Bhajans were sung by local devotees, followed by recitation of Sri Vishnu Sahasranama chanting led by Doctor Damayanthi at 10.00 am, followed by Ramakrishna Archanai and Shivapuranam led by Srimat Swami Raghaveshanandaji Maharaj at 10.45 am, continued with Homa at 11.45 am conducted by Swami Parahitananda Maharaj and followed by a small discourse on Sri Ramakrishna by Srimat Swami Raghaveshanandaji Maharaj.
Arati was conducted at 1.30 PM. About 170 devotees participated from different villages. Finally the programme ended with the devotees given Sumptuous Prasad.
