The finals of the Under 12, Under 14 football matches and the under - 17 category boys and girls volley ball matches was conducted with much fanfare on the 24 th of October in the Vivekananda Matriculation School, M.Palada where nearly 900 school students, teachers and parents were there to participate and cheer the students. After the matches were over, the prize distribution ceremony was held. The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Swami Dharmananda Maharaj, Belagavi and presided over by Swami Raghaveshananda. Dr Thiruvengadam and Dr Srinivasan, Scientists from Potato Research center, Muthorai were there to felicitate the students. The winning teams were provided with trophies and individual mementos with a book of Swami Vivekananda and participation certificates were issued to all the students who participated in the sports events. All the sports events were judged by 20 referees from different schools and they were all felicitated and given mementos in addition to a book on Swami Vivekananda. All participating schools were given a memento in recognition of the students participating from their schools.
