Jayanthi Celebrations at Math Premises
By the blessings of Sri Ramakrishna, Swami Vivekananda Jayanthi was celebrated with Spiritual fervour in Ramakrishna Math Ooty on February 4th 2021 at the Ramakrishna Math premises.
The celebrations was muted due to covid.
The day started as usual with the Mangala arati and Vedic chanting at 6.00 AM. Swami Vivekananda Jayanthi celebrations started with a special pooja at 8.00 AM. At 9.30 AM, Bajans were sung by Sri Ramakrishna Math local devotees, followed by Sri Vishnu Sahasranama chanting recitation at 10.15 AM led by Swami Raghaveshanandaji Maharaj which was continued by Bajans by Sri Ramakrishna Bajanai Saba, Nundhala. At 11.45 AM, Sri Sivanama Sankirthana was sung by Swami Lakshmishwarananda, immediately followed by Sri Ramakrishna Archanai led by Swami Raghaveshanandaji Maharaj. Tamil Discourse on Swami Vivekananda, explaining about the essence of Swamiji’s teachings and his life was explained by Swami Divyanamananda.
Arati was conducted at 1.00 PM and finally the programme ended with the devotees given sumptuous Prasad. Around 250 devotees participated in the function.
Jayanthi Celebrations at Chokkanalli Village
In connection with Swami Vivekananda Jayanthi, Math Sadhus and Volunteers went to a tribal village Chokkanalli in the midst of the forest and a feast was arranged for about 200 people on February 5th 2021.
Monthly Pecuniary Aid
The Monthly Pecuniary aid was held on 03 February 2021 at the Math premises where about 100 poor and destitute people were provided with biscuits and cash of Rs 400 each to the tune of Rs 40,000.
